151 MICHELIN Bib Gourmand Restaurants Named for 2027 with 26 New Entries Across Thailand
The MICHELIN Guide has announced 151 restaurants in the 2027 MICHELIN Bib Gourmand selection across 12 destinations in Thailand, including 26 first-time entries.
The MICHELIN Guide announced the restaurants awarded the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand distinction for 2027 in Thailand on 4 November 2026, recommending quality dining venues at affordable prices to mark the 10th anniversary of the Thailand edition. This year's selection comprises a total of 151 restaurants nationwide, including 26 first-time entries, double the previous year's 13 new additions. The list was revealed to build anticipation ahead of the MICHELIN Star award ceremony on Tuesday, 10 November 2026.
A Diverse Selection of Quality Affordable Restaurants Across Thailand
The MICHELIN Bib Gourmand symbol features Bibendum, or the MICHELIN Man, to recognise restaurants selected by inspectors for offering good-quality food at great value. The 151 restaurants span approximately 16 cuisine types, including Asian, Southern Thai, Isan, Northern Thai, seafood, Thai and Chinese, contemporary Thai, contemporary European, Vietnamese, noodles, snacks and grilled dishes. Dining formats range from full-service restaurants, multi-generational family-run businesses and street food stalls to casual venues that clearly reflect the chef's identity.
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, stated that this year's selection reflects the distribution of quality restaurants across Thailand, encompassing traditional family-run shops, local street food stalls and venues that express the distinct identity of their cooks. This information helps promote the vibrancy of Thailand's culinary scene to a global audience while serving as a guide for both Thai and international diners to enjoy meals at friendly prices.
Highlights Among First-Time Entries in Bangkok and Surrounding Provinces
Of the 26 first-time entries, 9 are located in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. They begin with Ped Tun Jao Tha, a second-generation family-run shop in the Talat Noi area known for its tender braised duck and goose served with flat egg noodles and mixed offal. Gokfayuen, run by a Hong Kong owner and open for over 10 years, stands out for its house-made fresh noodles and chilli oil, served with shrimp roe and dried flounder imported from Hong Kong in its dry noodles with shrimp roe and tiger prawn wontons. Meanwhile, Jae Ngor Beef Noodles, a more than 70-year-old shop run by a fourth-generation successor, offers braised beef, beef tongue, hot pot and special mixed-offal soup in a rich beef broth.
For Northern Thai cuisine, Kam Kin Sook adapts family recipes from Phrae province into approachable flavours suitable for children and vegetarians, featuring its signature Khanom Sen Nam Yoi scented with red cotton tree blossoms and paired with spicy Nam Phrik Yoi chilli paste, alongside Khao Soi Prin on the 5th floor of the Dusit Central Park shopping centre, which serves Khao Soi in rich fresh coconut milk broth, clear-broth Khao Soi and Lampang-style Khanom Chin Nam Ngiao. Other additions include Khanom Bueang Mae Prapha (Phra Nakhon Branch), a more than 50-year-old shop near Khao San Road that uses milled mung bean and rice flour mixed with coconut milk, Mae Thum Pad Thai Kheng near Bangkok City Hall, which offers 6 traditional Pad Thai items and especially crispy-noodle Pad Thai, and the seafood restaurant Ruea Po.
