Registration Opens for Two-Day Global Anti-Scam Summit Asia 2026 in Bangkok
GASA, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, and partners have opened registration for the first two-day Global Anti-Scam Summit Asia 2026 in Bangkok.
The Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and global partners including Gogolook, Meta, Google, Trend Micro, CUBE AI and Outseer, is preparing to host the Global Anti-Scam Summit Asia 2026 for the first time in Bangkok. This two-day conference is organised to connect government representatives, the business sector, researchers and safety organisations to systematically establish approaches to intercept transnational scam networks. Interested participants can now follow the schedule and register to join and exchange collaborative approaches via the event website.
Thailand's Role in Elevating Regional Cooperation to Combat Scams
During the event, Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote address reflecting Thailand's role in driving a safer digital future. Meanwhile, Jorij Abraham, Managing Director of the Global Anti-Scam Alliance, pointed out that scammer networks operate across borders and use multiple channels to commit offences. Tackling them therefore requires connecting all relevant agencies across loss prevention, victim assistance and the disruption of criminal syndicates.
Thailand is regarded as a key regional hub and is continuously addressing challenges posed by transnational criminal networks. Thailand's policies and measures therefore play an important role in raising safety standards across Southeast Asia. Hosting this summit in Bangkok provides an opportunity for leaders from across the region to build upon shared lessons and turn them into practical cooperation.
Launch of the 2026 Situation Reports and Key Discussion Topics Across the Two Days
A key agenda item of the event is unveiling the findings from the State of Scams in Asia 2026 report alongside the launch of the State of Scams in Thailand 2026 report. Both reports will provide an overview of the situation in Asia and the specific challenges facing Thailand. This data will serve as an essential foundation for the public and business sectors to identify emerging threats more quickly and plan systematic joint responses.
Throughout the two days of the conference, attendees will delve into the human impact and operational models of Scam Compounds, as well as hear experiences from survivors to find ways to address cross-border human trafficking. The panel discussions will also cover tracking the financial trails behind scams, national anti-scam systems and threats from AI. In addition, there will be discussions on designing safer digital services, as well as the role of telecommunications providers in blocking scam phone calls and messages.
GASA working groups are also inviting conference participants to build on the discussions towards cooperation in research, law enforcement, intelligence sharing, threat prevention and consumer education. Meanwhile, Jeff Kuo, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Gogolook, the developer of the Whoscall application, stated that scam threats do not stop at a single platform or industry. Staying ahead of scam tactics and sharing information from initial victim contact through to money transfers is therefore vital to reducing risk. Gogolook aims to expand the network built at summits in Taipei and Singapore to Bangkok to develop practical defences, alongside hosting the Scam Fighter Awards ceremony during the event to recognise initiatives with tangible achievements in prevention, detection, disruption and law enforcement against scam networks.
