DIPROM Launches Marine Inspiration Eco-Fashion Contest, Prizes Worth 110,000 Baht

The Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM), Ministry of Industry, is inviting young designers to take part in a fashion contest under the concept Marine Inspiration, combining inspiration from the sea with naturally dyed fabrics and Thai craft wisdom to create contemporary fashion that promotes the conservation of marine resources and the environment. Entries are open from today until 12 November 2026, with total prize money of 110,000 baht plus trophies.

The BEYOND BLUE design brief and contest conditions

This year's contest brief is BEYOND BLUE: the colours of the sea beyond just blue, inviting designers to interpret the beauty of the sea through a wide range of colours, not limited to the usual image of blue. Entrants must design one Contemporary Casual Wear outfit for men or women, consisting of two pieces of clothing together with at least one accessory.

Entries must clearly convey inspiration from the sea and the concept of marine resource conservation, with an emphasis on originality, creativity and everyday wearability. Importantly, DIPROM has set a condition banning the use of AI at every stage of creating the work, so that designers can fully demonstrate their own skills and creativity.

The judging panel will select the winning entries on 18 November 2026.
