World-Class Tournaments and Activities at TGU 2026

The TGU tournament has been held continuously for over 14 years and is recognised by leading game developers as an official regional tournament in Southeast Asia. The main highlight this year is serving as the final Master Event of the year for the TEKKEN World Tour 2026, which is crucial for professional players competing for qualification. In addition, there are global point-accumulating tournaments including the ARC World Tour and GBVS World Tour, attracting renowned competitors from various countries to travel to Thailand to compete for points.

The main competition this year is divided into 8 major tournaments: TEKKEN 8, Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, 2XKO, Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves, Mystery Games and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, alongside 11 Community Event tournaments featuring popular fighting games for participants to enjoy. Within the venue, there is also the Queens Clash tournament exclusively for female competitors and a Play with Pro activity allowing visitors to play games closely with professional competitors, as well as retail booths selling gaming equipment, official licensed merchandise from game developers, prize giveaways and an After Party at the end of the event.

Tourism Collaboration and Ticket Sales Schedule

Beyond serving as an Esports tournament venue, this event also connects Thailand's fighting game community with international standards, giving Thai competitors the opportunity to face world-class players on home soil. In terms of tourism and the MICE industry, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has supported this event for the 4th consecutive year alongside TCEB to stimulate inbound travel among international competitors and their companions. Meanwhile, equipment and tournament system partners ASUS Republic of Gamers, or ROG, and PlayStation have joined to elevate the standard of the event across all 3 days.

Those wishing to register for the competition or purchase spectator tickets at special prices can do so via the LINE Official Account @tgu.gg until 6 November 2026. Visitors who wish only to attend and experience the tournament atmosphere can purchase tickets at the on-site ticket counter from 13 to 15 November 2026 from 10.00 hrs onwards.

This event announcement is of interest to both Thai and international travellers planning to attend a world-class fighting game tournament in person. It also provides important information for hoteliers and accommodation operators in the vicinity of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani as they prepare to welcome competitors and attendees from various countries in mid-November, as well as for event organisers and MICE professionals looking to study the format of an international Esports tournament that seamlessly integrates collaboration between government agencies and global private organisations.
