Thai Airways Launches 5 Explorer Mascots at One Bangkok, Highlights In-Flight Child Care

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, led by Mr Kittiphong Sansomboon, Chief Commercial Officer, held the Terminal of Imagination event on 27 October 2026 at One Ultra Screens cinema, One Bangkok project, Bangkok, to present a group of mascots named THAI Junior Sky Explorers for young passengers and families. The event saw Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) members, the media, and influencers participate in activities simulating a travel atmosphere, experience food from THAI Catering, and watch the animated film FORGOTTEN ISLAND, which conveys a story of adventure, friendship, and courage. The event aimed to promote learning alongside imagination to build a bond with young travellers both on and off the flight.

Inspiration from Thai Charm for the 5 Explorer Mascots

The THAI Junior Sky Explorers project is inspired by Thai charm, conveyed through 5 explorer friends from 5 provinces, each with a distinct personality and story: courage, gentleness, keen observation, sincerity, and creativity. When teamed up together, they serve as travel companions ready to invite children to learn new things, broaden their horizons, and discover fun during their journey. During the opening session, Miss Abigail Rangsisingpipat, serving as the THAI Junior Air-bassador representing young travellers, also joined to meet the THAI Junior Sky Explorers group to convey brightness and reflect the concept of encouraging children to bravely embrace new experiences from travelling.

  • Fighting Rooster: Representative explorer friend from Phitsanulok province
  • Thai Elephant: Representative explorer friend from Surin province
  • Wichianmat Siamese Cat: Representative explorer friend from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province
  • Water Buffalo: Representative explorer friend from Phatthalung province
  • Common Myna: Representative explorer friend from Songkhla province

In addition to the activities at the event, Thai Airways is extending the project through creative media and products that connect fun with learning to fulfil the travel experience and create good memories with families. Those interested can purchase mascot souvenirs and Junior Sky Explorers blind boxes at THAI Shop, Thai Airways Head Office, from Monday to Friday between 08.30 and 16.30 hrs, as well as follow the stories of the explorers on Facebook at THAI Junior Sky Explorer Club, on Instagram via the account @thaijuniorskyexplorerclub, and on TikTok via the account @juniorskyexplorerclub.

In-Flight Child and Family Passenger Care Services by Thai Airways

Alongside off-flight activities, Thai Airways places importance on caring for child passengers and families through specialised in-flight services. Key services include care for children travelling alone, or Unaccompanied Minor (UM) Service, and the Baby Bassinet service for passengers travelling with infants, as well as meal services for children and infants. Parents wishing to use these services on eligible international flights can submit their request at least 48 hours prior to flight departure.

To add fun for child passengers throughout the journey, Thai Airways also provides a KIDS Box drawing and colouring activity set, as well as a Cabin Log Book for recording stories during the flight. These amenities give children the opportunity to use their creativity and keep impressions of what they see along the way. Passengers can request them from cabin crew, subject to availability on the flight and the conditions set by the company.
