VietJet Thailand Increases Domestic Flights by up to 25%, Boosts Tokyo-Osaka Routes
VietJet Thailand increases domestic seats by up to 25% and adds flights on Thailand routes to Tokyo, Osaka and Kuala Lumpur for the year-end travel season.
VietJet Thailand (VZ) has announced increased flight frequencies on both domestic and international routes in its winter schedule from the fourth quarter of 2026 through early 2027 to accommodate higher travel demand at the end of the year. The airline is increasing domestic seat capacity by up to 25% across 12 routes, while adding flights from Bangkok to Tokyo, Osaka and Kuala Lumpur to meet continued growth in travel demand in the Japanese and Malaysian markets.
Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of VietJet Thailand, stated that the period from the end of the year to early next year sees a clear increase in both domestic and international travel demand. The airline has therefore increased flight frequencies on high-demand routes, particularly routes to Japan and Malaysia, alongside managing its fleet and flight schedules in line with market potential in each region to support connectivity and promote Thai tourism during the peak travel period.
