KOTRA to Host SEOUL FOOD in Bangkok 2026 Exhibition at QSNCC from 2 to 4 Dec 2026
KOTRA and EXCO are hosting the SEOUL FOOD in Bangkok 2026 Korean food business matching event, gathering over 550 companies at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Bangkok office, in collaboration with EXCO, is preparing to host the 3rd Korean food trade exhibition and business matching event under the name SEOUL FOOD in Bangkok 2026 from 2 to 4 December 2026, between 10.00 and 17.00 hrs, at Hall 1, G Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). Held across a total area of 5,430 square metres, the event aims to build upon the popularity of Korean food, or K-Food, which has grown alongside the Korean Wave and Hallyu, turning it into stable, long-term trade cooperation. The event focuses on a full-scale business-to-business (B2B) negotiation format to directly connect food manufacturers from South Korea with importers and buyers from Thailand and neighbouring regions.
Expanding the Korean Food Business Network into the ASEAN Regional Trade Hub
SEOUL FOOD in Bangkok is an international expansion of South Korea's leading food trade exhibition, first held in 2024 to help South Korean businesses pioneer markets in the ASEAN region and build local trade partnerships. For the 3rd edition in 2026, KOTRA, which operates a network of 132 international trade promotion offices in 86 countries worldwide, has selected approximately 150 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with standout quality products from South Korea to exhibit. At the same time, it aims to attract 200 Thai companies and another 200 international buyers covering Southeast Asia, South Asia, China, India, and Oceania to participate in trade negotiations, totalling 400 buyer companies.
The Director of the KOTRA Bangkok office stated that choosing Bangkok as the host location enables manufacturers from South Korea to meet comprehensively with Thai trade partners and business representatives from neighbouring countries within the event. Negotiation participants can immediately compare the trade conditions of each country while using Thailand as a key base for expanding distribution networks into regional markets. Furthermore, working with Thai partners helps South Korean manufacturers gain a deeper understanding of domestic consumer tastes, leading to actual, continuous sales across distribution channels after the event concludes.
Featured Product Categories and a Target of Over 2,000 Business Matching Sessions
The Korean food products exhibited in 2026 highlight the strength of blending traditional flavours and dining culture with manufacturing innovations that cater to the convenience of modern consumers. Key product categories to watch include ready-to-eat and convenience food (Ready-to-eat and Convenience Food), seasonings and sauces, snacks and desserts, as well as health food and beverage products. Manufacturers that can preserve the authentic flavours of Korean food while adapting packaging sizes, preparation steps, price levels, and quality to align with consumer lifestyles in each country will have a higher chance of succeeding in market expansion alongside local partners.
In terms of trade outcomes, KOTRA has set a target of generating over 2,000 business matching negotiations within the event, focusing on measurable results ranging from building new partner networks and placing sample orders to launching products in retail and wholesale channels. Participating operators will hear feedback directly from buyers to use in developing products that best meet the demands of target markets. Moreover, the organisers also provide follow-up services and continuous support for trade negotiations after the event ends to drive concrete business agreements.
