The Field Village concept and four types of forest with over 100,000 trees planted
Wonderfruit views The Fields as a village where people meet and share ideas, knowledge and experiences together. Since 2022, the team has planted more than 100,000 trees across the site, divided into four types of forest: Ancestral Forest, planted using the Miyawaki method and used as a space for art and sound installations; Yang Na Forest, grown from Yang Na tree seeds; Medicinal Plant Village, which brings together herbs and traditional healing wisdom; and Suan Somrom, which applies traditional mixed-planting wisdom from southern Thailand.
As the event enters a new decade this year, it marks an opportunity for Wonderfruit to invite attendees to look back at its origins and what humanity shares in common through music, art, food and restoring the forest to abundance once again.
Eastern local cuisine and mind-and-body wellness activities
In the food section, the Wonder Kitchen area presents The Grounded Kitchen concept, developed in collaboration with Samrub Samrub Thai, featuring chefs from well-known establishments such as Pimali Foundation, Samuay and Sons, 80/20 and SOMSAK. Chef Prin Polsuk and Thanyaporn Jarukittikun will showcase seasonal ingredients from eastern Thailand through a Chef's Table dining experience titled Samrub Burapha: Ecosystem of the East, along with the workshops Flavours of Eastern Nature: Krabok & Karang and The Taste of the Eastern Forest, which allow attendees to learn about ingredients and herbs from the eastern forests with local people.
For those looking to rest body and mind, the Wonderness area comes under the theme Rooted in the Inner Axis, featuring both paid and free activities. These include the workshop Re-calling the Khwan of All Things, which reinterprets the Thai belief in khwan; the workshop If I Were a Tree, which invites participants to imagine themselves as a tree; the workshop Ancient Resonance: Cacao & Animal Archetype Sound Expressions, which uses the sounds of handmade ceramic instruments combined with breathwork; and the yoga workshop Superflow: Fluid Yoga to Honor the Oceans Inside and Out.
This news is of interest to travellers and members of the public who enjoy music and art festivals, event organisers looking to study a festival model that integrates sustainability with lifestyle, as well as hotel professionals in Chonburi and Pattaya who should prepare to welcome travellers in early December 2026.
