Sun Society, a New Restaurant on Sukhumvit 31, Serves Brunch at 200 to 300 Baht
Sun Society is set to open for breakfast and all-day brunch on Soi Sukhumvit 31 on 1 November 2026, with a workspace and morning exercise activities.
Sun Society, a newly opened restaurant on Soi Sukhumvit 31 Yaek 2 in Bangkok, is set to open for service on 1 November 2026 as a space for breakfast and all-day brunch alongside activities designed to build a health-conscious community. The project was founded by Rafael Garcia together with Thibault Garcia, who grew up with him, and Kevin Koeninger, combining international service standards with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Monday from 07.00 to 17.00, with most dishes priced between 200 and 300 baht to cater to both residents and workers in the Sukhumvit area.
A Menu Bringing Fine Dining Restaurant Experience to Everyday Dining
The culinary development at Sun Society builds on the experience of Rafael Garcia, who has worked with leading restaurants abroad, including Hôtel du Palais, the 1-Michelin-starred restaurant La Réserve de Beaulieu, a patisserie in Paris, and as head chef of Le Collectionist. After moving to work in Bangkok, he served as pastry chef at the 1-Michelin-starred Cadence by Dan Bark before taking on the role of opening head chef at Scuba, which won the Opening of the Year award from the Koktail Thailand Restaurant Guide Awards 2026. All of this expertise has been brought together to design quality meals at accessible prices so that customers can drop by and dine regularly.
The restaurant begins serving breakfast from 07.00 alongside Western dishes and plates inspired by Thai flavours throughout the day. Ingredient selection focuses on local produce and sustainable sourcing to accommodate both those needing a quick breakfast and those looking to socialise with a group of friends. Highlights of the food and drink menu include:
- Main dishes and brunch items including Avocado Croissant Toast, Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Carrot Tacos, Turkish Egg and Salmon Waffle
- Specialty coffee for drinking throughout the day
- Popular social drinks such as the Mimosa
A Health-Conscious Community Concept with a Co-Working Space and Extended Hours Plan
Rafael Garcia said that typical restaurants are usually designed for people to spend only 2 hours, whereas Sun Society aims to be a place where customers can spend the whole day and visit several times a week. This concept of building a community of friendship stems from the 3 founders' shared fondness for rugby and padel. The restaurant therefore organises free morning activities including yoga, pilates, breathwork, HIIT, stretching sessions and a Run Club so that everyone can exercise and get to know one another before dining together.
For those who wish to continue working after breakfast, the upper floor of the restaurant is arranged as a co-working space with Wi-Fi, power outlets and a sports massage service for post-exercise recovery. In addition, from December 2026, the restaurant will extend its opening hours until 22.00 and hold outdoor film screenings in the garden during the evening. The restaurant is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the EmSphere shopping centre, with parking and a pet-friendly area.
