Samyan Mitrtown Hosts Year-End Festival in Bangkok from 2 Nov 2026 to 8 Jan 2027

Samyan Mitrtown shopping centre is celebrating its entry into its 8th year with a year-end and New Year campaign titled SAMYAN MITRTOWN CELEBRATE LIFE NEW YEAR 2027 from 2 November 2026 to 8 January 2027 across the Samyan Mitrtown shopping centre and 5th Floor Samyan Mitrtown Hall. The event aims to provide a creative space and support the lifestyles of all groups of people both during the day and at night. Over a period of more than 2 months, it will feature Christmas festive light displays, a market gathering well-known food vendors, a student art exhibition and year-end music performances with free admission.

Christmas Light Displays and Art Exhibition from 11 Universities

The main event area from 2 November 2026 to 8 January 2027 is inspired by an Advent Calendar, a countdown calendar to a new beginning, under the concept Every Surprise is the Beginning of Happiness, transformed into The Advent of Celebration with calendar compartments that can actually be opened. Visitors will find a festive tree in the Merry Craft: Paint Your Happiness activity, which took more than 3 months of preparation to gather over 4,000 hand-painted Christmas Ornaments for decoration. In addition, there is a star tunnel, The Wishing Stars Tunnel, gathering more than 10,000 stars along with well-wishes from Music Partners and leading artists such as ME YOU, Tilly Birds, Zom Marie, Scrubb, Purpeech, Landokmai, The Parkinson, FREEHAND and ALALA, as well as photo spots including The Starry Christmas Tree and the light garden The Glow of Happiness.

A special gift-box opening event, A SURPRISE TO CELEBRATE, will take place on 12 November 2026 with a performance by iZ, a new-generation boy group, followed by weekly activities including Monday Lucky Fortune on Mondays, the Wednesday Challenge activity on the Giant Advent Calendar on Wednesdays, and Friday Music Live Show live music performances every Friday. From 1 December 2026 to 8 January 2027, the pedestrian tunnel area spanning over 500 square metres will be converted into an Art Exhibition showcasing works in Illustration, Typography, Digital Art, Digital Painting and Lettering by 15 student teams from 11 universities: Chulalongkorn University, Srinakharinwirot University, Silpakorn University, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Poh-Chang Academy of Arts at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, Rangsit University, Bangkok University, Assumption University and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. Meanwhile, from 21 to 25 December 2026 from 18.00 hrs onwards, there will be outdoor film screenings for Outdoor Christmas Movie Week, as well as a Christmas Karaoke singing activity on 25 December 2026.

Partner Exhibitions and the Lan Nom Samyan 2026 Year-End Music Event

The shopping centre is also collaborating with partners to host specialised events, starting with the 47th MARUYA event under the concept DUEL from 21 to 22 November 2026 at 5th Floor Samyan Mitrtown Hall for anime, game and cosplay enthusiasts. This is followed by Krua Khun Toi presents Winter Food Fest from 23 to 29 November 2026, bringing together more than 80 well-known food vendors in one place. Next, from 17 December 2026 to 4 January 2027, Medium and More Give More will sell festive gifts and decorations on G Floor, alongside YOLO! ART MARKET on 19 December 2026 at 5th Floor Samyan Mitrtown Hall, providing a space for artists, illustrators and creators to sell handmade products directly to buyers. For the year-end period from 27 to 31 December 2026, Lan Nom Samyan 2026 will take place under the concept MILK PARTY, an alcohol-free gathering across 5 days featuring a free concert by 20 popular artists and DJs such as NONT TANONT, ATLAS, PiXXiE, SERIOUS BACON, VVV, SCRUBB, BETTER WEATHER and GOODMOOD, as well as a New Year's Eve milk toast with the band PURPEECH.
