7th Ran Ded Fair Purple Line Food Festival Comes to Siam Square, 20-22 Nov 2026
MRTA partners with PMCU to host the 7th Ran Ded Fair food festival, bringing over 80 standout Purple Line shops to Siam Square on 20-22 November 2026 with free admission.
The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University (PMCU), is hosting the food festival “MRTA x PMCU Presents 7th Ran Ded Fair: Delicious Express, Standout Train” from 20 to 22 November 2026 at Siam Square Soi 5, Soi 7 and Block K. The event brings more than 80 food, dessert and beverage shops from along the Purple Line right into the city centre for visitors to sample. Admission is free from 11:00 to 21:00 throughout the 3 days, allowing food lovers to meet up and support small vendors from along the transit line at the same time.
An Atmosphere Like Travelling Through Transit Stations, Divided into 3 Main Zones
The event space is decorated to feel like travelling through stations and train carriages, starting with the “Purple Line Tasting” zone, which recreates a station platform atmosphere. It brings together legendary famous shops and popular eateries from along the Purple Line in the Purple Line Legendary section, alongside sponsor and partner booths in The Grand Station area, featuring mini-games and prize giveaways throughout the event.
Next is the “Standout Flavours at the Rear of the Train” zone, which brings together hot street food stalls and freshly cooked quick-meal dishes in the Hot & Heavy Express section, complete with a dining seating area inspired by a railway dining carriage called The Diner Car. Rounding off the route is the “Delicious Terminal Station” zone, which gathers snacks, fried items, desserts and beverages in the Dessert & Snack Cabin section, along with the Purple Fun Station activity area where attendees can play games to win prizes for added fun while strolling and tasting.
Opening Opportunities for Small Vendors to Reach New Customer Groups
In addition to the food zones, the event features transit-themed photo spots, musical performances and activities from MRTA as well as its partners and sponsors throughout all 3 days. Bringing vendors from along the Purple Line to this event also provides an opportunity for small business operators to meet new customer groups, and allows visitors to discover more standout shops across different neighbourhoods, using great food as a starting point to encourage people to travel and support shops and communities around the stations in the future.
