Grab Restaurant Promotions: Thai Chuai Thai Campaign Doubles Sales
Grab reveals the success of Thai Chuai Thai Plus restaurant promotions, with delivery orders exceeding 20 million, whilst supporting entrepreneurs with free AI technology.
Grab announced the success of its food delivery campaign under the name Thai Chuai Thai Plus for the latest round, which has been running since mid-2026. The company found that food orders via the platform surged past 20 million. This success has helped boost sales for restaurants participating in this promotion by an average of twofold compared to the previous period. This reflects the continuously growing popularity, alongside income distribution to small entrepreneurs nationwide.
Delving into Consumer Behaviour and Emerging Areas
Interesting in-depth statistical data from Grab reveals that the number of users exercising their privileges on the system increased by more than 40 per cent from the previous round. This reflects the engagement of consumers in the digital age, with notable data regarding areas and food types as follows:
- Top Areas Bangkok still retains the number one champion spot for privilege usage, followed by Chonburi, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai and Nakhon Ratchasima.
- Emerging Areas Maha Sarakham province saw privilege usage growth jump by 2.5 times, followed by Hua Hin, Songkhla, Phayao and Nakhon Pathom.
- Top Food Menus Most customers chose to order made-to-order dishes, noodles, curry on rice, fast food, and tea and coffee beverages.
AI Technology as a Modern Restaurant Assistant
In addition to boosting sales through promotional campaigns, Grab also focuses on supporting SME entrepreneurs to access smart technology. Currently, over 275,000 restaurants nationwide have trialled the GrabMerchant AI Assistant system on the merchant application without any additional fees. This digital assistant processes and analyses transactions on the platform to identify popular food items, best-selling times and customer behaviour. These insights help merchants plan marketing and manage menus more accurately.
Moving Forward with a New Campaign Round and Enhancing Business Skills
Follow-up results found that almost 55 per cent of restaurants activated the assistant system at least once a month. Restaurants that consistently used the data for planning were able to generate an average sales growth of 20 per cent compared to those that did not use it. Due to the excellent response, the organisation is moving forward to continue the additional round of the Thai Chuai Thai Plus project until the end of November 2026 to stimulate the overall economy, alongside launching skill enhancement courses through GrabAcademy to elevate merchant capabilities in line with the Ministry of Finance's policies.
