Gourmet Market Hosts Taste of J With Over 100 Vegetarian Dishes Until 18 October 2026

Gourmet Market and Gourmet Eats by The Mall Group are hosting “TASTE OF J”, a festival bringing together over 100 vegetarian ingredients and dishes from today until 18 October 2026 at all Gourmet Market and Gourmet Eats branches, catering to changing consumer behaviour during the 2026 Vegetarian Festival. The event brings together legendary vegetarian ingredients selected from across the country as well as alternative plant-based proteins in one place.

5 Vegetarian Festival Trends Monitored by Gourmet Market

From a survey of customer behaviour during the Vegetarian Festival, Gourmet Market has summarised five key trends. The first is flexible vegetarian eating, or flexitarianism, where younger generations choose to eat vegetarian only for certain meals at their convenience, making ready-to-eat meals and small-sized packaging more popular. This is followed by the health-conscious trend, with consumers looking for organic vegetables, low-sodium dishes and plant-based beverages such as oat milk and almond milk.

Three other notable trends are the growth of plant-based protein offering a taste and texture close to real meat; demand for novel dishes such as vegetarian mala, vegetarian burgers and vegetarian pasta; and combined online and offline purchasing behaviour known as omni-channel, where customers order ready-to-eat vegetarian meals via delivery platforms alongside shopping in person for fresh ingredients at the supermarket.

Standout Ingredients and Famous Restaurants at Taste of J

Gourmet Market has selected renowned vegetarian items from across the country in one place, such as black Photharam tofu from Mae Lek in Ratchaburi, Ta Mu tofu from Nakhon Pathom, pickled mustard greens from Jae Daeng, and ginkgo nuts from Nuan Chawee in the Yaowarat area, along with Avagan plant-based mozzarella made from cashew nuts grown by farmers in Krabi province.

In addition, there are premium-grade fruits and vegetables delivered directly from farms, including carrots, tomatoes, corn and avocados, as well as plant-based products such as Tofusan soy milk and PatPat camellia seed oil. For those with limited time, ready-to-eat dishes such as broccoli and wolffia soup and avocado salad are available. Meanwhile, Gourmet Eats brings together more than 50 famous and Michelin-listed restaurants from across the country to serve vegetarian dishes, such as Khao Tom Plaeng Nam, vegetarian rice and curry from Ruen Mae Louise, and vegetarian Yen Ta Fo Ba Teng from Nai Ouan at Sao Chingcha.
