The Ascott Limited Hosts Seoul and Taipei Events to Expand MICE to Thai Properties

Ascott Thailand, managed by Ascott International Management (Thailand) under The Ascott Limited, held sales promotion activities and roadshows in Seoul, South Korea, and Taipei, Taiwan, on 29 October 2026 to build partnerships with travel industry partners. The events aimed to present information on more than 20 properties across Thailand as well as new projects to travel agents, corporate travel buyers and MICE planners. This collaboration aims to promote Thailand as a destination for leisure, business, extended-stay accommodation and golf travel.

Expanding Partner Networks in the South Korean and Taiwanese Markets

The Ascott Thailand team began by participating in a roadshow in Seoul, South Korea, before travelling on to Taipei, Taiwan, to meet and hold business discussions with more than 30 trade partners. The event in Taiwan was also joined by Ascott representatives from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia to present property information at a regional level. The collaboration among the delegations from all four countries reflects a joint approach to strengthening the partner network across Asia.

Tanyarat Pengtangmo, Country Director of Sales & Marketing, Thailand & Laos at Ascott, stated that South Korea and Taiwan remain key source markets for Thailand. Travel demand from both markets spans leisure travellers, corporate clients and MICE groups through to long-stay guests. Meeting partners directly is therefore an important opportunity to strengthen relationships whilst showcasing the stay experiences across the group's portfolio in Thailand.

Highlights of Properties in Thailand and Plans for New Project Launches

Currently, Ascott operates more than 20 properties across Thailand under leading brands including Ascott, Oakwood, Somerset, Citadines, lyf, The Crest Collection and Preference. Key properties highlighted at the events included Ascott Embassy Sathorn Bangkok, Ascott Thonglor Bangkok, Somerset Rama 9 Bangkok and Somerset Pattaya. In addition, the events highlighted the potential of properties in Si Racha district, a strategic area in the Eastern Economic Corridor that continues to attract corporate clients and golf travellers.

At the same time, Ascott Thailand is preparing to launch Ascott Abov Patong Phuket Resort in Phuket province, expanding its property network to cover both business cities and resort destinations. The Ascott Limited, a business unit of CapitaLand Investment Limited, has more than 1,000 properties across over 230 cities in more than 40 countries worldwide. Its accommodation offerings include serviced residences, hotels, resorts, social living properties and branded residences, whilst providing member privileges through the Ascott Star Rewards, or ASR, system.
