WiPay Partners with THIM to Offer Wi Wallet Card, Free Thai QR Fees for 30 Days
WiPay and THIM are offering foreign tourists a free Wi Wallet VISA card with fee-free Thai QR payments for 30 days and a 100 baht cashback, starting 25 September 2026.
WiPay Co., Ltd., the operator of the Wi Wallet e-wallet service, has partnered with the THIM application of the Immigration Bureau to launch the "Wi Double Deal" privilege for foreign tourists who apply for a Wi Wallet VISA card from 25 September 2026 onwards. The aim is to make it more convenient for tourists to make payments via Thai QR or PromptPay during their stay in Thailand.
The mechanism works as follows: foreign users of the THIM app receive a redemption code via the application, which they then use to apply for and purchase a Wi Wallet VISA card, available as either a physical card or a virtual card, priced at 1,000 baht each. Once the card is activated, cardholders immediately receive two privileges together.
Two Privileges for Cardholders
The first privilege is a waiver of payment fees for transactions made via Thai QR or PromptPay through the Wi Wallet application for 30 days from the date the card is activated. This privilege covers only outgoing payments and does not include fees for receiving money into the account.
The second privilege is a 100 baht cashback when cumulative spending on the card reaches 5,000 baht within the specified period. This is limited to one redemption per activated card, and the company will transfer the amount into the cardholder's Wi Wallet account within 7 days of the spending condition being met.

Connecting the Experience from Immigration Checkpoints to Local Shops
