Tinder Hosts Moo Ka Ter Party by the Chao Phraya River, 18-27 September 2026
Tinder holds its Moo Ka Ter Party on Songwat Road by the Chao Phraya River over 11 sessions from 18 to 27 September 2026, launching its Events feature.
Tinder Thailand is launching "Moo Ka Ter Party", an event that invites singles and groups of friends to sit around a Thai barbecue grill and meet new people face to face. The event takes place at the Chang car park on Songwat Road, beside the Chao Phraya River, from 18 to 27 September 2026, with 11 sessions in total. It is the flagship activity for the launch of the Events feature on the Tinder app, which aims to bring users together through activities that match shared lifestyles.
Table rules and icebreakers
Each table at the event seats 4 people. Friends who arrive together can share a table, while solo guests are randomly assigned a table number at the registration point, giving them the chance to sit with strangers and get to know one another. A DJ booth plays matching playlists to set the atmosphere throughout the event.
For those who are not sure how to start a conversation, the event offers several icebreakers. These include a conversation tissue box with question cards to play with while waiting for the pork to cook, and a special "Jai Sang Ma Hai" ("the heart ordered it for you") order slip that can be sent to another table to signal interest. There are also dessert options, including a heart-melting jelly and a giant ice cream made for two, to order and share with someone you like. Those who enjoy a little suspense can join the Love Lotto, which draws a random profile to take a chance on, or try to win a free trial of Tinder Gold. Anyone who has not met someone they like at the event can leave a photo-booth picture at the "Kratha Fak Jai" ("pan that holds your heart") point. Groups of friends can also take a commemorative "Moo Kratha Gang" photo.

Direction of the Events feature in the Thai market
Tinder first launched the Events feature in Thailand on 18 August 2026 and has since held more than 25 events. Bangkok is now the world's second-ranked city for the feature, measured by the number of daily views of event detail pages. Of those who view an event page, 12% tap to show interest, and the average check-in rate for actually attending events in Bangkok is 44%.
A satisfaction survey of Events participants found that 92% rated the events positively and 85% said they would attend similar events again. More than half of attendees who had never used Tinder said the event made them more likely to start using the app.
This news will be of interest to event organisers looking for ideas for matchmaking and social events, to hotel and restaurant professionals in the Songwat area who want to follow riverside event trends, and to singles and visitors in Bangkok looking for a new kind of social event in late September.
