Thanapiriya and Dek Som Boon Support Chiang Rai Vegetarian Festival with Free Food

Thanapiriya and Dek Som Boon have partnered to donate vegetarian ingredients and cook meals for participants at the Chiang Rai Vegetarian Festival.

Thanapiriya and Dek Som Boon Support Chiang Rai Vegetarian Festival with Free Food

Thanapiriya Public Company Limited, a well-known local supermarket operator in northern Thailand, has partnered with Yan Wal Yun Corporation Group Co., Ltd., owner of the Dek Som Boon seasoning brand, to support the Chiang Rai Vegetarian Festival. The companies donated vegetarian cooking ingredients and healthy beverages to local festival participants, with senior executives from both organisations attending the merit-making opening ceremony in person and cooking meals to distribute to attendees on the same day.

The event was attended by Thanapong Puttipiriya, Deputy Managing Director of Operations, Thanapoom Puttipiriya, Deputy Managing Director of Marketing, and Pittaya Jitmase, Deputy Managing Director of Accounting and Finance, from Thanapiriya Public Company Limited, alongside Veerapong Tangsombatvisit, Executive Director and Assistant Vice President of Domestic Sales at Yan Wal Yun Corporation Group Co., Ltd.

Both parties jointly presented vegetarian cooking ingredients to festival participants, including seasonings, vegetable oil and noodles, as well as ready-to-drink soy milk, instant noodles and instant cereal beverages for attendees to use in preparing meals and supporting their health throughout the festival.

Kanvela Restaurant serves special vegetarian dishes as executives cook in person

The event also featured a collaboration with Kanvela Restaurant, which sent chefs to prepare special vegetarian dishes for distribution to participants, adding greater variety to the food offered at the event.

Notably, executives from both Thanapiriya and Yan Wal Yun Corporation Group did not merely donate ingredients, but also cooked food themselves to distribute to those eating vegetarian meals on the day, reflecting a commitment to close community engagement rather than financial support alone.

Executives from both companies stated that this collaboration brought both nourishment and merit to givers and receivers alike, whilst helping to preserve the Vegetarian Festival tradition practised every year by the people of Chiang Rai.

Activities such as this are of interest to restaurant and supermarket operators in the northern region looking for ways to conduct social responsibility initiatives alongside local festivals, as well as tourists and members of the public interested in participating in the Vegetarian Festival in Chiang Rai during this period.
