ThaiTicketMajor Shares Seven Tips for Securing Tickets on Sale Day

ThaiTicketMajor outlines preparation steps and timing techniques to help buyers secure concert tickets during high-traffic ticket sale openings.

ThaiTicketMajor Shares Seven Tips for Securing Tickets on Sale Day

ThaiTicketMajor, one of Thailand's major event ticketing providers handling more than 500 events and over 2 million tickets per year, has explained the preparation steps for buyers who want to secure concert tickets on the actual sale opening day. This follows observations that major concert ticket sales often see a large number of simultaneous users, requiring the system to use a virtual waiting room such as Queue-it to control access to the seat selection page. This system also detects bots and abnormal traffic.

Before the sale opening day, buyers should log in to the system in advance and prepare their first and last names in English matching their ID card or passport, as many events require this information to be entered from the first step. While waiting, buyers should check the seating chart and prices in advance to clearly identify a main zone and a backup zone. If purchasing as a group, members should divide responsibility for which zone each person will handle.

Key Timing on the Actual Sale Day

ThaiTicketMajor recommends entering the waiting room at least 15 minutes before the sale opening time for general events, while events with a full queuing system should be entered up to 1 hour in advance, as the system works on a first-come, first-served basis for queue position. A technique used by many buyers is to refresh the page at the 57th second before the sale opening time, to catch the moment the button changes from a waiting status to a buy-now button. Buyers should also use multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets and computers, and try opening several browsers on the same device, as the connection speed of each browser into the system varies each time.

A key point to be careful of is that once inside the system's queue, buyers must never refresh the page or close the tab, as the system will immediately revoke the queue position, requiring the buyer to rejoin the queue from the start. For concerts with especially high demand, ThaiTicketMajor may announce the use of a Random Queue System, which allows advance registration and then randomly assigns queue order instead of a first-come, first-served system. Buyers should therefore follow each event's official announcement to see which queuing system is in use.

Making Payment on Time and Ticket Insurance Options

Once seats have been selected, the system will hold them for a limited time only. If payment is not completed in time, the seats will be released back into the system immediately. Buyers should therefore prepare their payment method in advance and decide on the number of tickets they want before entering the purchase page, as the system sets a purchase limit of no more than 6 tickets per price category.
