Elevating the Thai wellness industry to an international level
Pharmacist Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the Food and Drug Administration, stated that the global population's health consciousness trend is focusing on disease prevention and quality longevity. This factor has resulted in wellness products and services playing a more significant role in the economy. The agency has therefore adjusted its role from merely a safety standard regulator to a full supporter of innovation development. This change will help entrepreneurs see a clear business path from the inception of an idea to the actual distribution stage.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, Chairman of the Nation-Building Institute Foundation, expressed that the present is a crucial time to push Thailand to become a holistic health hub. He proposed the concept of a golden space comprising longevity, robust health, and happiness. Utilising research and linking it with the service sector will help build confidence in Thai products. This is considered an excellent opportunity to drive the Thai MICE industry to grow stably.
A space to create business opportunities and business matching
Organising this event is not merely a general exhibition, but it is designed to be a comprehensive meeting space for people in the health industry. The event is divided into four main sections, starting with an exhibition zone presenting the path of Thai innovation development to the international level. Next is an activity zone that allows attendees to learn through various workshop formats. In this same area, there is also a consultation clinic with officials directly available to assist entrepreneurs who need advice on licensing and various regulations.
Furthermore, there are business matching activities to directly connect entrepreneurs with venture capital groups and distributors. Those with creative ideas can also enter their work into a pitching stage to win prize money and seek funding to further their business. At the same time, there is an area for an international symposium and a central stage for special talk activities, including a panel discussion, for thought leaders to exchange in-depth experiences in science and technology.
Dr. Pichet Peudkhuntod, Deputy Secretary-General of the Food and Drug Administration, added that the special feature of this event is simulating a real-world platform that gathers people from all sectors together. The general public, students, researchers, and investors can meet at a single event. Attendees do not come solely to listen to information, but can participate in trials and consult to find joint solutions. This is considered an opportunity for new innovations to be developed until they can genuinely enter the market.
The news of this event is highly interesting for event organisers, health business entrepreneurs, and professionals in the hotel industry, as it is a good opportunity to explore the trends of the future health market. Participating in the event will help professionals discover new business partners and apply the acquired knowledge to enhance customer service more efficiently.
