Thai Union Backs Bangkok Festival, Brings 120 Youths to Free World-Class Shows
Thai Union Group is supporting the 28th Bangkok festival, giving more than 120 students free access to international performances through its Student Outreach Program.
Thai Union Group PCL, a global seafood industry leader, continues to support the 28th Bangkok's International Festival of Dance & Music, one of the Bangkok festivals held continuously for many years. This year, the company is running its Student Outreach Program, giving more than 120 school and university students free access to international performances throughout September 2026, enriching their learning experience outside the classroom through arts and culture.
Thiraphong Chansiri, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Union Group PCL, said that developing people requires continuous investment, and that valuable learning is not limited to the classroom. Giving children and young people the opportunity to experience international arts and culture helps broaden their perspectives, stimulates creativity, and enables young people to discover their own potential, which is an important foundation for developing the next generation of leaders.
Royal Welcome and the Alice in Wonderland Performance
Thai Union Group brought a group of 80 students and teachers from Wat Sri Suttharam School and Wat Samakkhi Sattharam School in Samut Sakhon province to join the royal welcome for Her Majesty the Queen and to watch the performance of Alice in Wonderland by Wings Show Production at the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre. This performance combines acrobatics, circus and dance to tell a story of courage and self-discovery, and is especially suited to young audiences. Disadvantaged youths and people with disabilities from across the country also attended this performance.
Students from Two More Institutions Attend World-Class Opera and Ballet
In addition, Thai Union Group supported students from the Arts and Culture Centre of Siam University in attending the performance Opera Goes to Hollywood by the New York City Opera, and students from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University in attending the performance Romeo and Juliet by the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. Sanya Somprasong, Acting Director of the Arts and Culture Centre of Siam University, thanked Thai Union Group for giving students and faculty the opportunity to watch international performances, which can be used to further develop teaching in art, music and culture.
