Siam Center hosts fashion show to support young designers, 1-4 Oct 2026

Siam Center has partnered with global ally Epson to launch the runway for a major fashion show titled Bangkok International Fashion Week 2026, held from 1 to 4 October 2026 at Atrium 2 on the G floor of the shopping centre. The main objective of this event is to provide a space for young designers from 13 leading educational institutions nationwide to showcase their design works. In addition, three rising Thai fashion brands will join to add colour and display their potential on this national stage.

Promoting Thai culture through an international perspective

The designs this year were created under the key concept NEXT TH-PHENOMENON, which focuses on reflecting contemporary Thai culture and diverse perspectives from each region. Attendees will experience the presentation of vernacular architecture, handicrafts and fine arts, as well as reimagined everyday lifestyles. All works will be conveyed through the language of fashion to effectively communicate with an international audience, while every garment fully preserves its Thai cultural roots.

The designers' works also present many fascinating local beliefs and traditions, whether adapting Malay cultural heritage or the uniquely exquisite Manora costumes from the South. Furthermore, there is the inclusion of the Baisri Sukwan tradition from the Northeast, as well as the application of zodiac flags based on Lanna beliefs into the clothing. Blending these diverse elements with imagination results in works that perfectly reflect the coexistence of a multicultural society.

The Thai fashion brands participating to showcase their potential on the runway include Kiera Selbe and Sleeping Cloud, along with Black Beetle, which has joined forces with brands such as Mohhomphrae and Heritage, alongside Kanhom. The gathering of these brands marks an important step in continuously driving the growth of the Thai apparel industry. Supporting the new generation to fully display their abilities will help build a strong foundation for the national design sector.

Blending eco-friendly innovation with local arts

Another major highlight of the event is the collaboration with Epson's printing technology, which focuses on using environmentally conscious innovations to help create works on fabric. This project includes the production of a special collection to open the show for each institution under the theme Thailand Thai Lert, which takes everyday surroundings and designs them into cutting-edge patterns. Audiences will discover a new interpretation of batik fabrics, banana leaf floral crafts and murals that have been beautifully arranged.

This event reflects Siam Center's commitment to reinforcing its image as a hub for creativity and cutting-edge ideas. The shopping centre's executives pointed out that this stage will be an important platform for university students to present their works to the public eye. Continuous support over several decades has already helped propel many young people to international success.
