The Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) is preparing to hold the PDPC Certification Mark Executive Talk, under the theme "PDPC Certification Mark and Raising Thai Organisations to International Standards", on Wednesday 30 September 2026 from 10.30 to 15.30 at the Phra Phrom Room, Aswin Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok. The event aims to promote the PDPC Certification Mark as a standard reflecting Thai organisations' readiness in personal data management. Organisation executives, Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and members of the public are invited to attend in person or via live broadcast.
The PDPC states that personal data protection in an era where data is a key asset should not stop at legal compliance; organisations must also be able to show customers, business partners and the public that they have verifiable systems and measures in place to safeguard data. This is the reason behind the PDPC Certification Mark, which is intended to serve as a long-term standard for organisational governance rather than merely a certificate on paper.

This talk features Mr. Khemtat Phonladet, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Personal Data Protection Promotion, Police Colonel Surapong Plengkham, Secretary-General of the Personal Data Protection Committee, and Police Colonel Nattakrit Promchan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Personal Data Protection Committee, sharing their perspectives, moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Prapanpong Kham-on, Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
Another key highlight is hearing from the experiences of 16 organisations that have already met the certification standard, covering government agencies, military organisations, agencies handling data of vulnerable groups, and small organisations. They will share their preparations, internal system adjustments and approaches to raising standards that other organisations can practically apply. As seats at the venue are limited, the PDPC is also offering a live broadcast so that interested parties can access the content widely.
