MONEY EXPO 2026 Udon Thani Generates 2,320 Million Baht, Moves to Chiang Mai Nov 2026

Ms Pakanee Viriyarungsarit, Co-Chair of the MONEY EXPO financial exposition, disclosed the results of the 13th Udon Thani Money Expo, or MONEY EXPO 2026 UDONTHANI, which was held from 9 to 11 October 2026 at Central Udon shopping centre in Udon Thani province under the concept AI WEALTH CREATION, driving wealth with the power of AI. Across the 3 days, the event generated combined offline and online transactions of over 2,320 million baht from more than 3,460 service applicants. Summary of Highest Transaction Volumes in Home Loans and Insurance

The number 1 transaction category by volume was home loans and home refinancing, totalling over 1,260 million baht, offering a 0% annual interest rate for the first 3 months, a 50% reduction in collateral appraisal fees, and complimentary gifts such as luggage and vouchers from Central. The event also featured properties in the northeastern region, including detached houses, townhouses, condominiums, commercial buildings, vacant land, factories and warehouses, with discounts of up to 50%. In addition, there were home loans with 0% interest for 24 months, transfer fee waivers of 1 to 2%, and Gift Vouchers worth up to 100,000 baht.

Ranking 2nd was the life insurance, non-life insurance and bancassurance category, which generated a total sum assured of over 680 million baht. Popular products included short-term endowment insurance offering 4 to 8% cash back with a minimum sum assured of 50,000 baht, lump-sum health insurance with maximum coverage of 5,000,000 baht providing protection up to age 99, and 24-hour accident insurance paying up to 5,000,000 baht in the event of death. Meanwhile, investment-linked life insurance offered premium payment periods of 5 to 20 years along with an additional retirement bonus or bonus upon reaching age 55 of 0.25% per year. Policy buyers also received 0% premium instalment plans for 3 to 6 months, tax deduction benefits of up to 300,000 baht, and conditional complimentary gifts such as gold bars, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S26, Apple Watch Series 12, Dyson Purifier air purifiers, Platinum Female health check-up vouchers, and gift vouchers from Lotus worth up to 2,500 baht.

Deposit Services, SME Business Loans and Debt Relief Measures

The 3rd-ranked transaction category was deposits and savings lotteries, with a combined total of over 120 million baht, featuring high-interest e-Saving deposit accounts and savings lotteries offering a chance to win a 1st prize worth up to 20 million baht. Ranking 4th was credit card transactions totalling over 110 million baht, and 5th was SME loans with a total loan value of over 15 million baht. Entrepreneurs in construction contracting, factories, and retail and wholesale businesses applied for loans of up to 15 million baht with special interest rates to use as working capital to enhance liquidity.

For debtor assistance, services from SAM were provided to consolidate non-performing loans from credit cards, cash cards and unsecured personal loans overdue by more than 120 days, for amounts not exceeding 2 million baht, allowing instalments over 10 years at an interest rate of 3 to 5% per year. This was joined by the Quick Debt Settlement, Move Forward programme for non-performing debts not exceeding 100,000 baht, offering the option to make a full settlement for an immediate 50% principal reduction, or to pay in instalments with a 30% principal reduction and 0% interest for up to 3 years.
