Megabangna Prepares to Host MEGA J-FOOD FESTIVAL with Over 65 Vegetarian Food Stalls
Megabangna shopping centre welcomes the Vegetarian Festival by hosting the MEGA J-FOOD FESTIVAL, gathering over 65 famous vegetarian food stalls from 9 to 18 October.
Megabangna shopping centre once again welcomes the Vegetarian Festival on a grand scale by hosting the MEGA J-FOOD FESTIVAL, under a concept that aims to make the shopping centre a meeting place for everyone. The event will take place from 9 to 18 October on the 1st floor in the Banking Zone. Its main objective is to enrich the Vegetarian Festival experience with greater variety and less monotony by bringing together over 65 famous food stalls from across the country in a single location. Attendees can purchase and sample vegetarian dishes to their heart's content in a format similar to a national trade and food exhibition.
Curated Savoury Dishes in a Variety of Styles
The event space has been transformed into a culinary hub covering every consumer need, starting with savoury dishes offered by numerous standout stalls. Kan Hed Hom Samunphrai presents dishes made from shiitake mushroom stems prepared with a variety of herbs, resulting in a well-rounded and healthy flavour. For fans of authentic Chinese cuisine, Heng Chiang Restaurant brings popular dishes such as vegetarian braised cabbage to sample, alongside meticulously prepared vegetarian stir-fried holy basil, vegetarian green curry and olive-preserved Chinese mustard greens (Kana Chai). In the local Thai food category, Khao Gaeng J Ari has prepared a wide selection of rice and curry dishes suited to the Thai palate, allowing vegetarian diners to enjoy bold flavours without getting bored.
Completing a Delicious Meal with Snacks and Desserts
In addition to the extensive range of main dishes, the event features many interesting snacks and noodle dishes. San Jia Mei serves freshly fried tofu and crispy spring rolls prepared on-site, ideal for eating whilst browsing the stalls. For something slightly more filling, Sun Lee offers generously filled vegetarian steamed rice noodle rolls packed with tofu, mushrooms and fresh vegetables, topped with the shop's special recipe sauce. For those looking for light snacks, Jai Dee Krob Kaew from Don Wai Floating Market is selling roasted grains coated in sugar and sesame seeds, made using a traditional recipe that has been sold for over 30 years.
For dessert lovers, JM PING TANG HU LU presents brightly coloured sugar-coated fruit in the style of Chinese street food. For those feeling thirsty, oh!rang serves refreshing sweet-and-tangy freshly squeezed orange juice. There are also Nam Prik J Sam Ros and Thiraros Chiang Mai, which offer vegetarian chilli pastes and ready-to-eat meals to buy and take home. Rounding off the meal are delicate Thai desserts from Ros Nuan Banthat Thong, known for its boiled rice flour balls with young coconut and steamed palm cake.
