Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection opens the Festive Like Nothing Else Season 2 decoration competition for students to win cash prizes, open until 31 October 2026.
Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection has launched its festive decoration competition under the name Festive Like Nothing Else Season 2 for the second consecutive year, inviting university students nationwide to submit festive decoration designs for the hotel. Applications and submissions are open until 31 October 2026, before shortlisted teams are selected to install their actual decorations at the hotel on Soi Thong Lor in mid-December. The programme aims to provide a platform for the younger generation to hone their design skills from concept to real-world execution.
The inspiration for this year's competition comes from the identity of the hotel itself, located on Soi Pai Di Ma Di, which has a peaceful atmosphere that contrasts with the vibrant energy of the surrounding Thong Lor neighbourhood. Contestants must interpret this contrast into festive decorations that reflect the hotel's Exactly Like Nothing Else concept.
Design Brief and Core Concepts
Submitted entries must integrate 5 key concepts: creating a celebratory atmosphere; considering the community, society and the environment; interpreting differences through Contrast and Parallel; elevating the experience with a refined new perspective; and conveying the stories, people, culture and identity of the location through design.
Competition Pathway and Cash Prizes
The first 6 shortlisted teams will visit the actual site inside the hotel and receive guidance from the hotel team and experts to develop their designs, before the final 3 teams are selected to carry out the actual decoration installation in the hotel from 11 to 14 December 2026, with the opportunity to present their work to the media and honoured guests. The competition is open to university students of all years across any faculty or discipline, applying in teams of up to 5 members per team.
