Macao Tourism and EASY! buddy Launch Taste of Macao Menu Campaign
The Macao Government Tourism Office and EASY! buddy have launched Taste of Macao, offering three special menus priced at THB 179-219 at all branches until 7 November 2026.
The Macao Government Tourism Office in Thailand has partnered with EASY! buddy, the Thai pad kra pao (stir-fried holy basil) restaurant brand, to launch the "Taste of Macao" campaign, featuring three special menu items that convey the flavours of Macao cuisine through wok-fried cooking, alongside an activity offering the chance to win round-trip air tickets between Bangkok and Macao. The menus are available at all EASY! buddy branches from 23 September to 7 November 2026, with the aim of inspiring Thai travellers to set off on a trip during the high season through a familiar taste experience.
Ms Uracha Chakrathranon, General Manager of the Macao Government Tourism Office in Thailand, said the collaboration is part of the Partnership Ecosystem strategy, which aims to extend cooperation beyond the traditional tourism industry. EASY! buddy was chosen for its customer base of young Thai and international consumers, and its clear expertise in wok-frying, which can convey the charm of Macao cuisine in a contemporary format that is easily accessible to Thai people.
Three Special Menus Capturing the Charm of Cha Chaan Teng and Wok Aromas
The core concept of the campaign is to reinterpret the charm of "cha chaan teng," the Cantonese-style café culture that is part of Macao's dining way of life, through the skills of Chef Buddy Thomtanat Hathayodom, one of the founders of EASY! buddy. The campaign uses the distinctive aroma of high-heat stir-frying known as "wok hei" to bridge familiar Thai flavours with Macanese cuisine, which has blended Cantonese Chinese and Portuguese culture for more than 400 years.
The first menu is Macao Minchi with fried duck egg, a Macao home-cooked dish that feels familiar, similar to pad kra pao, but uses diced fried potatoes in place of holy basil leaves. The second menu is Macao-style shrimp egg drop rice, served with chilli oil and springy shrimp. The third menu is Macao-style fried pork chop fried rice with fried duck egg, wok-fried rice paired with a pork chop that is crispy outside and tender inside.
Flight Ticket Discount and Prize Draw Activity
Every order of a menu item under this campaign comes with a special discount from Traveloka worth THB 1,000, which can be used to book flights on the Bangkok-Macao route or accommodation in Macao, with a limited number of vouchers available. There is also a prize draw for 10 round-trip air tickets between Bangkok and Macao. Rules and conditions can be followed on the Facebook page of the Macao Government Tourism Office in Thailand, with winners to be announced on 15 November 2026.
