Jungceylon Launches Golden Week Golden Thai 2026 Campaign, 1-5 October

Jungceylon Patong shopping centre in Phuket is running the Golden Week Golden Thai 2026 campaign under the concept "Experience Timeless Thai Cultures" to welcome the large number of tourists travelling to the area during the Golden Week holiday. The campaign features Thai handicraft workshops and traditional dance performances over five days, from 1 to 5 October 2026, along with a promotion offering souvenirs to shoppers who meet the spending conditions.

The campaign focuses on giving both international and Thai visitors a genuine, hands-on experience of Thai culture, rather than the usual product displays or discount promotions. The shopping centre has therefore brought in traditional Thai handicrafts for visitors to try making themselves.

Five days of Thai handicraft workshops

The event features free demonstrations and workshops for tourists to join, covering handicrafts that reflect the refinement of Thai craftsmanship, including:

• Making banana-leaf bai sri (ceremonial offerings)
• Thai fruit carving
• Stringing fresh flower garlands
• Making royal-style khanom khrok (coconut rice pancakes)
• Traditional basket weaving

There will also be free "Natayarangsan" dance performances by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Songkhla Rajabhat University, twice a day throughout the festival period, adding to the Thai atmosphere for visitors.

Promotion: hand-woven bags made by Phuket Prison inmates

Customers who spend 3,000 baht or more at the shopping centre will receive a free Limited Edition woven bag, made under the Phuket Provincial Prison's vocational training programme for weaving products from plastic fibre, part of the Department of Corrections' policy of returning good people to society. The programme helps inmates learn a trade and earn income while incarcerated, preparing them for their return to society.

Those wishing to claim the gift can present their receipt at the Tourist Privilege booth in THE BAY Arena zone within the specified period.
