Dusit Thani Debuts First ASAI in Malaysia, Opening ASAI Gamuda Cove 15 Sep
Dusit Thani Group launches ASAI Gamuda Cove, a 280-room hotel marking the first ASAI brand in Malaysia, opening on 15 September 2026.
Dusit Thani Group, a major Thai hotel operator, has officially announced the launch of the ASAI Gamuda Cove hotel. This marks the first entry into the Malaysian market for the ASAI Hotels brand, having previously operated only in Bangkok and Kyoto. The hotel is located in the new Gamuda Cove township in Selangor, Malaysia, and is scheduled to open on 15 September 2026 under the Live Local concept, which focuses on connecting guests with the lifestyle of the local community.
A New Step for the ASAI Brand in the Malaysian Market
Mr. Chanin Donavanik, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited, stated that ASAI Gamuda Cove reflects the brand's Live Local concept by integrating nature, leisure activities, and the local community. This hotel does not function merely as accommodation, but is also designed as a meeting space for guests and people in the surrounding area.
ASAI Gamuda Cove is currently the largest hotel in the ASAI portfolio and the fourth hotel of the brand, following ASAI Bangkok Chinatown, ASAI Bangkok Sathorn, and ASAI Kyoto Shijo. Furthermore, it is the brand's first hotel to open outside a city centre area, and the second hotel for Dusit Thani Group in Malaysia, following Dusit Princess Melaka, which opened in December 2024.
