Dusit Thani Opens Dusit Arun Park for Free Artificial Breast Sewing Until End of 2026
Dusit Thani Group and partners open the Dusit Arun park space, inviting the public to volunteer in sewing 9,300 artificial breasts for patients nationwide.
Dusit Thani Group, in collaboration with GC and SABINA, along with several other leading partner organisations, launched the "Synergy for Her: Weaving Encouragement, Creating Happiness for Society" project at the Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel on 1 October 2026. This activity was organised to invite the general public to join as volunteers to create artificial breasts for breast cancer patients nationwide. The project will run continuously until December 2026, with the goal of collecting and delivering 9,300 high-quality artificial breasts through the Thai Red Cross Society.
Transforming green spaces into spaces creating happiness for society
Dusit Thani Group executives revealed that organising this social activity concretely reinforces their commitment to sustainability according to ESG principles. Dusit Thani Group has utilised the space of the Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel and Dusit Arun park as a hub to connect volunteers. This sky garden not only serves as a new lung in the heart of the capital but has also been elevated to a public space for sharing and creating health benefits for people in society. This synergy reflects the genuine intention to create a space of happiness through giving.
The power of collaboration from multiple sectors
Driving the goal of producing these artificial breasts has received strong support from various organisations. The SABINA brand provided all the equipment kits for sewing the artificial breasts, while an organisation like GC supported high-quality, clean and safe plastic pellets to be used as filling. Furthermore, there are health partners such as AstraZeneca, who joined to provide in-depth knowledge on personalised breast cancer treatment, and Muang Thai Life Assurance, who supported by offering micro-insurance policies to participating volunteers.
On the side of educational institutions, Silpakorn University enhanced the atmosphere by organising music in the park activities, whilst also opening a space for an art workshop to build encouragement for participants. Regarding preventative healthcare, attendees also listened to a special lecture from experts on natural self-care. The first group of 200 volunteers also received simulated sponge pads to learn how to perform breast self-examinations at home. These diverse collaborations reflect the attentiveness to the quality of life of women in all dimensions.
Channels for receiving activity equipment
Those interested can be a part of this good initiative without any cost. Volunteers can request free artificial breast sewing kits at SABINA shops and counters within department stores nationwide, as well as at the Refresh Zone on the 6th floor of Dusit Arun park. The project will accept finished pieces from volunteers until the end of this year, to collect and distribute to a network of hospitals nationwide.
