China Eastern Airlines Launches 2026 Winter Schedule Connecting 180 Global Routes
China Eastern Airlines expands its 2026 to 2027 winter flight schedule to over 180 global routes, with increased flight frequencies to Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
China Eastern Airlines, or CEAir, has announced increased flight frequencies on international and regional routes, alongside upgraded services for First Class and Business Class passengers to support its 2026 to 2027 winter flight schedule, which commences operations from 25 October 2026. This flight schedule adjustment covers over 180 routes, connecting more than 40 countries and territories worldwide with an average of over 430 flights per day. The airline aims to meet global travel demand by expanding its flight network alongside developing both ground and in-flight services.
Expansion of Intercontinental and Asian Regional Route Networks
For intercontinental travel, China Eastern Airlines is set to resume direct flights between Adelaide and Shanghai, increase flight frequencies on the Buenos Aires route connecting Auckland and Shanghai, and operate additional seasonal flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Shanghai. For Europe and North America, flights to Shanghai connecting with Frankfurt, London and Vancouver have been increased. Meanwhile, routes that were newly launched or resumed during the 2026 summer flight schedule, namely Dublin, Stockholm and Tbilisi to Shanghai, will continue operating throughout this winter.
Within the Asian network, the airline is preparing to increase flight frequencies from Shanghai to Bali, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to support regional travel. For Thailand, flight frequencies have been increased on direct routes from Kunming to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Furthermore, high-traffic trunk routes such as Shanghai to Singapore, Bangkok and Seoul, as well as Kunming to Bangkok and Qingdao to Seoul, will operate at high frequencies to comprehensively meet travel demand.
Upgrades to Ground Lounges and In-Flight Services
In terms of ground services, China Eastern Airlines has revamped its self-operated lounge spaces at major airports in Shanghai, Beijing and Xi'an, allocating dedicated areas for First Class and Business Class passengers and adding over 400 seats. Inside the lounges, beverages, bread, desserts, seasonal snacks and signature dishes such as MU Noodles highlighting local flavours are provided. In addition, eligible First Class and Business Class passengers can use complimentary airport transfer services in several major cities across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Oceania, along with online customer care via the international passenger version of the CEAir application and a dedicated hotline for premium passengers.
For in-flight services, the airline has created new menus using premium ingredients for First Class and Business Class passengers on 12 long-haul routes from Shanghai to major cities such as New York, Paris and London. At the same time, it has expanded its signature MU Tea beverage into a new drinks collection, including alcoholic beverages, coffee, sparkling tea and speciality drinks. Moreover, First Class and Business Class passengers on all wide-body aircraft can enjoy complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout their journey.
