Chiangmai Wonderland Sky Lanterns Festival 2026 Tickets 1,590 Baht Including Food Coupons
The Chiang Mai sky lantern festival in San Kamphaeng on 24 and 25 November 2026 offers 1,590-baht tickets, including a 300-baht food coupon, two lanterns, and one krathong.
Organisers, community leaders and the women's development group of Buak Khang sub-district, San Kamphaeng district, Chiang Mai province, held a meeting on 11 September 2026 at the Buak Khang Sub-district Municipality Office meeting room to prepare for the Chiangmai Wonderland Sky Lanterns Festival 2026. The event will take place at the CM Event ENX activity ground on 24 and 25 November 2026. The meeting established guidelines regarding the venue, food stalls, community involvement and safety to ensure a smooth event and provide an opportunity for Thai and international tourists to experience Lanna and Thai Yong culture.
What ticket buyers will receive
The ticket price of 1,590 baht is an inclusive rate that provides attendees with various items, including food coupons worth 300 baht, two sky lanterns, one krathong and one traditional clay lamp (phang pratheep). Attendees can also participate in workshops and watch performances within the event as arranged.
Regarding rituals, the event features a Buddha image bathing activity and the writing of wishes on gold leaf for those who wish to make merit for good fortune. In the evening, there will be a light and sound show and a fireworks display.
Kad Mua, Thai Yong way of life and community souvenirs
Within the event, there are more than 50 Kad Mua style food stalls. Attendees can use their food coupons to purchase food at the event. Additionally, there is an area to observe the way of life of the Lanna people, Thai Yong and ethnic groups, along with booths exhibiting and selling souvenirs.
The organisers stated that the event has received proper official permission from government authorities, features standard safety systems and has guidelines for managing event impacts. A portion of the revenue will be shared with the community for use in public activities, such as community leader groups, housewives' groups, children and youth councils, and elderly groups.
