Central Phuket Expands Luxury Space and 150 Restaurants, Opening in Q2 2027

Central Pattana moves forward with expanding the Luxury Zone and a 150-brand dining hub across 20,000 sq.m. at Central Phuket, set to open in Q2 2027.

Central Phuket Expands Luxury Space and 150 Restaurants, Opening in Q2 2027

Central Pattana Public Company Limited has announced construction progress on the first phase of the luxury expansion at Central Phuket shopping centre in the heart of downtown Phuket, which is currently over 60% complete and scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2027. This 14-rai expansion development aims to double the space dedicated to global luxury brands, alongside creating a major dining destination and an international cultural exhibition space. The project builds upon the 20-year success of the shopping centre, which has a total project value of over 26,000 million baht on a 110-rai site, to cater to quality tourists, Thai nationals, expats and long-stay residents from around the world.

Luxury Zone Expansion and Gathering of Global Brands

Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana Public Company Limited, stated that Phuket is transitioning from a tourist city into a global coastal living destination chosen by the global wealth segment as a place to reside. This mega mixed-use project, with a gross building area (GBA) of 500,000 sq.m., connects a Super Regional Mall with surrounding residential areas, educational institutions and hospitals. The entire development is designed to deliver a Global Flagship Experience that integrates lifestyle, culture, fine dining, coastal living and wellness in one place.

Currently, Central Phuket is the only shopping centre outside Bangkok that brings together 23 luxury brands alongside more than 250 fashion and bridge-line brands, with several stores ranking among the top performers and number 1 in sales in Thailand. This latest expansion is set to welcome Cartier, the global high jewellery and watchmaking brand, alongside the expansion of LOUIS VUITTON into its largest store in Southern Thailand, and the opening of a new 597 sq.m. PRADA boutique featuring its largest resort and beachwear collection. In addition, the line-up includes TIFFANY & CO. in a New Concept Store format with the only Mosaic Façade in Thailand, BVLGARI with an exclusive concept unique to Phuket, the expansion of PMT THE HOUR GLASS, revamped BALENCIAGA and SAINT LAURENT stores, as well as pop-up stores from TOD'S, CELINE and CHANEL BEAUTY, joined by BOTTEGA VENETA, BURBERRY, DIOR, GUCCI, HERMÈS, OMEGA, VALENTINO, VERSACE and ZEGNA.

A 150-Brand Dining Hub and International Event Space

In terms of food and beverage, the project has developed an Ultimate Culinary Landmark spanning over 20,000 sq.m., the largest outside Bangkok, under a Local to Global concept with a Coastal City atmosphere operating from lunch until late night. The zone brings together more than 150 restaurant brands, ranging from Michelin-recognised restaurants, which are planned to double in number in the future, to leading international restaurants such as Su Va Na, winner of the World's Culinary Awards, and the largest Starbucks Reserve in Phuket. At the same time, it provides space for local restaurants and famous street food vendors to reach international customers, including Kha Mu Kathu Boran, Ann Guay Tiew Kua Kai, NARA Express, Mee Ton Poe, Moo Krob Ji Hong, Nai Mueang Khao Lak and Mae Sri Ruen Chicken Noodle.

Beyond the dining zone, the project is also preparing to launch a World-Class Arena for Entertainment & Culture as a venue for performances and showcasing Thai culture to an international audience, with further details to be announced soon. Inside the shopping centre, there is also a World-Class Aquatic Experience on par with global aquariums, alongside major year-round festivals such as Pride Month, Songkran and Countdown to continuously attract visitors to the heart of Phuket.
