CENTRAL GROUP Mini Marathon 18th Raises Funds for Breast Cancer Screening Device
Central Group held its 18th CENTRAL GROUP Mini Marathon at CentralWorld, with all entry-fee proceeds going towards a breast biopsy device for the National Cancer Institute.
Central Group held the CENTRAL GROUP Mini Marathon 18th by Good Goods on the morning of 28 September 2026 at the plaza in front of CentralWorld shopping centre. Despite the rain, runners from across the country turned out in large numbers. All proceeds from registration fees, with no deductions for expenses, will go towards the 21st Central Group Women Cancer project to purchase a vacuum-assisted breast biopsy device for the National Cancer Institute.

Race Shirts, Medals and Trophies Designed by Autistic Artists
This year, the race shirts, medals and trophies were created through a collaboration between Central Group and ARTSTORY by Autistic Thai, giving autistic artists the opportunity to design running-themed cartoon illustrations under the concept "Colorful Mile". The designs helped convey creativity and added colour throughout the race course.
After crossing the finish line, Central Group held the After Run Coffee Club for the first time, offering runners a place to rest, relax and recharge. Runners received drinks from Good Goods and enjoyed music from DJ Jira in a relaxed atmosphere that provided space to chat and share experiences.
Ms Somkamol Jiratiwat, Senior Director of Central Group, said Central Group was the first retail and service business to launch a charity mini marathon, starting in 2007, and has continued the tradition through to this 18th edition, with the intention of making the race a space for health, friendship and social contribution all at once.
Mini Marathon and Micro Marathon Results
In the 10.5-kilometre Mini Marathon category, the men's overall winner was Anucha Pada with a time of 35 minutes 44 seconds, while the women's overall winner was Pattama Wasunan with a time of 44 minutes 40 seconds.
In the 5.5-kilometre Micro Marathon category, first place among men went to Anuchit Pada with a time of 18 minutes 31 seconds, and first place among women went to Nittaya Thodphanthiam with a time of 24 minutes 46 seconds. All runners who crossed the finish line also received a commemorative medal.
The event was presided over by Dr Norathep Chupul, Director of Pathumwan District, with Central Group executives led by Ms Somkamol Jiratiwat and Dr Chatchai Norasethaporn welcoming guests, together with Dr Danai Manorom from the National Cancer Institute and Rawin Mukkhajee from OCEAN LIFE Thai Life Insurance.
The event was supported by Good Goods, a lifestyle brand under Central Tham, Central Group's social enterprise, and OCEAN LIFE Thai Life Insurance, which provided accident insurance for all runners throughout the race. The event also promoted waste sorting to help protect the environment.
