AirAsia MOVE Wins Best Travel App in Asia for 4th Consecutive Year as Users Surge 22%
AirAsia MOVE has won Asia's Best Travel Booking App award for the fourth consecutive year, with monthly users up 22% to nearly 17 million.
AirAsia MOVE, the travel booking app of AirAsia, has won the Best Travel Booking App in Asia award at the World Travel Tech Awards 2026, marking the fourth consecutive year it has received the honour. The result was announced on 14 October 2026 in Bangkok. The award is voted for by travellers across Asia and reflects the growth of the platform, which has expanded from a flight and hotel booking app into a comprehensive travel and lifestyle app covering the entire trip.
Sharp Growth in Users and Searches
Supporting the award is strong growth in users, with AirAsia MOVE's monthly active users rising 22% year-on-year to nearly 17 million, while travel searches on the app increased 14% to 33 million. The figures underline that travellers are increasingly choosing the app as their main channel for planning and booking travel.
Comprehensive Services from Booking to Finding Things to Do
Travellers can now book flights from more than 700 airlines and over 1 million hotels through AirAsia MOVE. They can also book flights and hotels together in a single package through the SNAP! service, search for attractions and activities via GetYourGuide, and access live entertainment through MOVETIX, all within one app.
On the booking and payment process, the app has continued to make improvements, with AskBo, an AI-powered chatbot, helping to answer questions and assist travellers throughout their use of the app.
Mr Chan Kok Ting, Head of Commercial for AirAsia MOVE, said that winning the award for a fourth consecutive year was a source of pride for the team amid ongoing efforts to develop the platform in step with changes in the travel industry.
