Accor and Coca-Cola Unveil Signature Drink for Bangkok Staycations
Accor and Coca-Cola held an annual mixology competition, with the winning Keycard cocktail set to become a signature drink for guests nationwide.
Accor has partnered with Thai Namthip Corporation Public Company Limited, together with Haad Thip Public Company Limited, to host the Accor x Coca-Cola Mixology Competition 2026 at VIE Hotel Bangkok. Now in its fifth consecutive year, the event celebrates a business partnership spanning more than three decades. The main objective is to discover new cocktail recipes under the Accor Signature Series concept, to be served to guests at hotels across the country. The collaboration reflects both brands' commitment to delivering exceptional service to their customers.
Elevating the stay experience with professional mixologists
The competition has drawn more than 170 participants over the past five years. Executives from Thai Namthip emphasised that the company aims to be more than just a business partner, but also to support the development of talent within the hospitality industry as it grows. Meanwhile, Accor's Food and Beverage leadership for the Asia-Pacific region expressed confidence that exceptional drinks help create memorable impressions for travellers from around the world, with a signature beverage adding further character to any stay, whether for business trips or staycations in Bangkok and other provinces.
A mixologist who competed in a previous edition and returned this year as a coach described the competition as a platform of opportunity, helping participants broaden their perspectives and learn new techniques. Travelling to compete in Bangkok helps inspire participants and expand their professional networks. Supporting this kind of event represents a valuable investment in human talent, while also helping to set new standards for Thailand's beverage service industry.
Signature drink of the year, born from creative inspiration
The final round of judging was honoured by national experts, including a world champion bartender and the President of the Bartenders Association of Thailand. The winning entry came from a representative of V Villas Hua Hin, who presented a drink called Keycard, combining Schweppes with coffee bean-infused rum, wild honey and chamomile cordial. The drink represents opening the door to a new experience and will be served as a signature beverage across the hotel group going forward. Its presentation, featuring a handmade wax-coated glass, added a distinctive finishing touch.
The first runner-up award went to a representative from V Villas Phuket, followed by the second runner-up from Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam. The Best Video award was also presented to a representative from Pullman Karon Phuket Beach Resort, marking a notable achievement for all competitors who showcased their skills. The award-winning entries reflected the exceptional skill and creativity of talent across the hotel group.
